If you could start over, what would you do differently? Would you change your design/materials/size/etc.?
If I could start over I would have attempted to use a 9V battery because it is much more powerful than our two 1.5V batteries. The other battery is three times more powerful than our batteries because ours combined is 3V and that battery is a 9V.
How do you plan to catch the judges’ attention?
We plan to catch the judges attention by using a poster and having eye contact.
Do you have a catchy product name?
No. We have the electric eraser because that is literally what it is.
Do you have a product logo? Slogan? Jingle/Song? Moto?
No. We don't think a logo, slogan, song or Moto is necessary.
How are you packaging your product? Is it attractive?
We want to package it in nice wrapping paper and make it look nice.
What type of display do you plan to use/make for your presentation?
We plan to use a cardboard poster as a display.
Can you demonstrate your product or give out samples?
We would be able to demonstrate our product because it is easy to carry and lightweight. There isn't a good reason to show it to the classroom. We would not be able to give out samples because they are $7.11 to make and that is a lot if we were to give this to 27 kids. That would be nearly $200. We don't have enough money for sure to give samples to the class.

    Garbage can mover
We want to make a garbage can that will be able to be moved around by pulleys. I discovered that there are some things similar to this but not for sale and have a few big differences.

Sakura Cordless Electric Eraser - BLICK art materials
First of all, the price of the Sakura Cordless Eraser is ridiculously expensive whereas ours is affordable. They put a tube around theirs to make it look like a pencil, whereas ours is smaller and more portable with higher speed that can fit in any pocket or pencil case. Blick Company also says that theirs is cordless so is ours. They give eraser refills that you have to change. On ours we added an optional extra eraser port for convenience.

Blick puts a tube around theirs and we don't. it also says that theirs is cordless. They give refills, and use a different type of erasers all of this for $30 dollars plus shipping and handling costs. Ours can be made and sold at a much cheaper cost to consumers.

Use your research to choose the invention you like best. How did the research help your team decide which invention you wanted to bring to life?
We used reasearch to decide which one requires little money and seems necessary.
    ...
How can you be sure your invention is safe?
We super glued the wires together so there is no open wires and then we duct taped the whole product.
Sakura Cordless Electric Eraser - BLICK art materials
    First of all,
What new skills did you learn while creating your invention?
I learned how to ply wires and how to build an electric eraser.
What changes did you make in your original plan?
We were planning to use a 9V battery but we decided to use two 1.5V batteries instead to be able to put it in a battery holder that we had. We also decided to use superglue to keep
    the price ofwires together.
Who helped you and what did they do?
    Our moms helped us with
the Sakura Cordless Eraserpresentation and had us practice. We asked other people what we should improve on and they gave us advice. Mr. Brown is ridiculously expensive whereas ours is affordable. They putone example.
What sources of information helped you with your invention?
    http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-an-electric-eraser/
    This site gave us
a tube around theirsfew ideas on how to make it. We also used some of the materials they used.
How did you test your invention?
We tested our invention by flipping the switch and turning
it look likeon to see if it works. We tested it several times to make sure the wires were taped together.

We need a DC motor, 2 triple A battery, a battery holder, 2 pencil eraser, wiring and duct tape.
Where do you plan to get those materials?

them from amazon.Amazon. For our original project we found the items required and did not need to buy the items needed.
How are you keeping the cost of your device low?
We are using cheap materials and are not using too many materials.
What are the steps needed to build your invention?

The difference between ours and theirs is that they use 2 wires we use 4 which increases the speed, efficiency and makes it very useful.. They also use a safety pin and we do not because our is made streamlined and a pin not necessary. Finally, they use a handle or tube and we do not. The handle, tube and pin made the electric eraser too big and bulky for simple use. Ours is small, easily portable and easily used.
Use your research to choose the invention you like best. How did the research help your team decide which invention you wanted to bring to life?
We used reasearch to decide which one requires little money and seems necessary.
Who can you talk to if you need help to solve problems & build your final product?
We can talk to Remy's dad, Mr. John Prisciandaro, or Mr. Mathew Brown.
What materials do you need to build your invention or prototype?
We need a DC motor, 2 triple A battery, a battery holder, 2 pencil eraser, wiring and duct tape.

We plan to find these materials or get them from amazon.
